Top 5 Healthy Recipes I am in love with.

These five recipes are perfect for anyone who wants to eat healthy but might be a little to picky for there own good. I am just as guilty as you are. These recipes are easy and delicious and I am positive you will love them!


 

The following recipes are a mix of my own creations as well as some recipes that belong to incredible chefs that I had to share with the world. I will provide the link to each recipe that is not my own.

Recipe 1 - Turkey Burgers 1 Patty = 169 calories

Makes 6 servings

- 1 Tsp olive oil

-1/2 onion (chopped)

-3 cloves garlic (minced)

-1/2 red bell pepper

- 2 pounds ground turkey

-1 Tbsp parsley

- 1 Tsp Thyme

-salt, pepper to taste

Cook onions and bell pepper in pan until soft and onions are translucent. Cool completely.

Add mixture to meat and season, form patty's ~130g each.

Fry in a skillet until fully cooked and juices run clear.


Recipe 2 - Spicy Penne Pasta 1 serving = 350 calories

Makes one serving.

- 1 cup whole grain penne pasta

-1/2 cup pasta sauce ( Catelli garden select sauce)

-1/2 cup spinach

-1/4 onion

-1 clove of garlic (minced)

-1/4 Tsp chili flakes

- 1/4 Tsp sugar

-1/4 Tsp Turmeric

- salt, pepper to taste

Bring water to a boil and add in pasta.

In pan Sautee onion, garlic and spinach until onions are soft. Add sauce and seasonings to pan and combine together. Drain pasta and add to sauce and mix together.


Recipe 3 - Baked Sweet potatoes

-Sweet Potato

-1 Tsp olive oil

-1/2 Tsp garlic powder

-1/2 Tsp onion powder

-1/4 Tsp paprika

-1/8 Tsp cayenne pepper

Preheat oven to 4oo degrees. Cut potato into desired size and shape. Combine all ingredients together in large bowl and mix. Place on baking sheet and bake at 400 for 30 mins or until tender.

Recipe 4 - Skinny Taste Carne Asada fries

I love this recipe on nights when i want to indulge and eat something like nachos. This recipe is a healthier version and nachos that is packed full of flavor and uses fresh ingredients.

Recipe 5 - Weight Watchers Pizza dough

- 1 cup self rising flour

- 1 cup non fat Greek yogurt

You can add whatever toppings you prefer and it is delicious. I know the yogurt is an intimating ingredient but honestly you cannot taste it and this dough taste like regular pizza dough just without the extra calories.
